In 2016 he joined the 10th & Broadway Clarinet Quartet which has appeared around the Chicago area and abroad in the U.S. to champion exciting new works for clarinet. Prior to his appearance at the Peninsula Music Festival he was appointed associate member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago in 2016. Other recent chamber music settings for Conner have included a successful performance of Stravinsky’s L’Histoire du Soldat at the Arts Club of Chicago as well as being a member of the winning group at the 2016 Chicago Woodwind Ensemble Competition.

Conner was a finalist in a number of recent clarinet auditions including the Madison Symphony Orchestra, The United States Navy Band, The President’s Own Marine Band, and The Alabama Symphony Orchestra. Conner recently graduated with his Master of Music degree from Northwestern University under the tutelage of Steve Cohen, and he received his Bachelor of Music from Columbus State University (Georgia) under Dr. Lisa Oberlander.
