Amy Thiemann, flute

Amy Thiemann currently serves as Flute Instructor at Concordia University in Seward, NE.  She received her Bachelor of Music degree in flute performance from Hastings College and her Master of Music degree in flute performance from Ithaca College.

During her time at Hastings, she was awarded the prestigious Presser Scholar Award and performed as a Young Artist soloist with the Hastings Symphony Orchestra. At Ithaca College, she was given a graduate teaching assistantship and was invited into the Pi Kappa Lambda music honor society. 

Also an active performer on piccolo, Thiemann performed in the International Piccolo Symposium in 2009.  Her primary teachers include Maria Harding and Wendy Mehne, with further instruction from Jill Felber and Leone Buyse. 

She is an active freelancer and teacher in Omaha, NE, where she coaches for the Omaha Area Youth Orchestras and performs regularly as an extra musician and substitute for the Omaha Symphony Orchestra
