This concert is the final installment of the three concert Beethoven Piano Concerti & Ballet Thursday mini-series. The concerto is "sandwiched" with the colorful music of Manuel de Falla.
The program opens with Janine Hawley performaing Seven Popular Spanish Songs. William Wolfram returns to the Festival to perform this final installment in the Beethoven Piano Concerto series. The concert concludes with the colorful, melodic Three-Cornered Hat Ballet which includes a brief mezzo-soprano solo. The ballet is full of colorful, rhythmic dances and even provides the opportunity for the orchestra members to participate vocally.
